3. New Contract Coverage
Local 136 will now financially cover your properly filed
freelance performance contract in the event of a contract violation! See
below for details!
1. First an
AFM approved performance contract must be properly filed with Local 136 before the
performance. You can find approved contracts at www.afm136.org.
2. If a
contract violation has occurred, go to www.afm136.org,
fill out an incident report and send that to Local 136.
3. If a
resolution is not achieved within 10 days of Local 136 receiving the
incident report, Local 136 will pay the covered musicians scale for said
contract.
4. Local
136 will then pursue the total contract amount from the contract buyer.
5. Upon
receipt of the total contract amount, Local 136 will deduct the amount already
paid to the covered musicians along with any expenses incurred pursuing the
total amount. Expenses incurred DO NOT include legal fees, which Local
136 already covers for any contract issue. The remaining funds will then be paid to the covered
musicians.
